Senior Purchasing Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Clinton, South Carolina, United States; onsite role with approximately 25% travel required

What you will do

• Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service levels.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate agreements, including supplier-managed inventory and consignment programs.
• Drive cost-management initiatives, identify savings opportunities, and support cost-reduction targets.
• Support supplier consolidation, sourcing, material planning, engineering changes, and new product development.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Product Development to resolve supplier and material issues.
• Lead or support procurement projects, process improvements, and supply chain initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least five years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Strong negotiation, planning, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate basic engineered drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Ability to develop project plans and schedules, improve processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• SAP experience.
