Senior Architect (Justice + Civic)

Location: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, or Houston, Texas, United States. Four days per week are worked in the office, with flexibility to work elsewhere on Fridays.

What you will do

• Lead key aspects of Justice + Civic projects and oversee project documentation delivery.
• Align design intent with schedules, budgets, profitability targets, and work plans.
• Develop creative, technically sound architectural solutions and coordinate drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Lead integrated, cross-functional design teams while providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff.
• Apply BIM standards and QA/QC procedures, coordinating with the Project Manager and BIM Manager.
• Participate in client presentations and support successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Architecture and professional licensure.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a commercial architecture firm, including at least 4 years designing public-sector, institutional, civic, public safety, and/or justice buildings.
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate design and technical solutions.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and other standard architecture software.
• Ability to lead sustainable design principles in technical plans and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational abilities, professional organization participation, and involvement in marketing and business development.
