Technical Design Associate Principal (Architecture)

Location: Saint Louis Park or Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

Compensation: $108,854–$155,505 per year

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through architectural layouts, detailing, coordination, and documentation across multiple project phases.
• Coordinate owner, client, internal, and governing-agency meetings, including code-compliance reviews and project-site work sessions.
• Coordinate team workloads and review architectural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Perform QA/QC and technical reviews, and incorporate approved changes into project documents.
• Write and edit architectural specifications and coordinate addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
• Provide project leadership and construction contract administration as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience and Registered Architect status.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
• Experience preparing and laying out architectural contract documents and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, planning, analytical problem-solving, and written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and project scheduling tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Experience with healthcare, educational, civic, science, or research facilities.
• Experience or interest in sustainable design and LEED.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3-D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
