What you will do

• Support overhead transmission line design and modeling using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER under senior engineering guidance.
• Perform structure loading, sag-tension, and clearance calculations with senior review.
• Prepare plan-and-profile drawings, structure lists, material lists, and calculation packages.
• Support field data collection, LiDAR-based modeling, and as-built verification.
• Assist with checking project deliverables and coordinate assigned tasks with structural, civil, and geotechnical staff.
• Participate in training, mentorship, and professional development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 0–4 years of engineering experience; internship or co-op experience is welcome.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Foundational knowledge of structural analysis and engineering design principles.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Interest in pursuing PE licensure and developing a long-term career in transmission engineering.

Nice to have

• Coursework or internship experience in power, transmission, structural, or utility engineering.
• Exposure to PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
• Familiarity with NESC or ASCE 10/74/113 design standards.
