Civil Engineer (Electric Power)

Location: Remote or Lakewood, Colorado; office and field work are required for some assignments. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform civil and structural design and analysis for generating plants, transmission and distribution lines, substations, and utility, industrial, and commercial facilities.
• Prepare grading, road, foundation, structural steel, drainage, permitting, equipment arrangement, and construction detail drawings.
• Develop hand calculations, computer-based calculations, structural models, cost estimates, budgets, proposals, studies, and project schedules.
• Assist with equipment and material specifications and review submittals for compliance with design requirements.
• Perform field inspections and construction supervision while checking the quality and accuracy of design and field-service work.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, customers, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

• 0+ years of engineering or relevant field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
• Strong written and verbal command of English.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Ability to understand and apply relevant codes and standards and to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• FE licensure or exam completion.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SAP2000, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, modeling and design software, and Microsoft Office.
