Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: New York Mills, Minnesota, United States; Workplace: Onsite; travel required less than 10%; relocation available.

Salary: $118,400–$174,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual hirify.global Bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and supervise front-line supervisors, team leads, support staff, and production employees.
• Drive value-stream performance and annual operating-plan and budget commitments in partnership with the Operations Director.
• Apply Lean tools including Andon, value-stream mapping, flow improvement, and line balancing.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, production flow, waste, scrap, damage, and rework.
• Coach and develop supervisors, team leaders, and Lean Six Sigma Green and Yellow Belts.
• Support the transition of new products and technologies into production and maintain effective employee communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of operational experience across multiple phases of manufacturing, quality, or engineering, including cross-functional team leadership.
• Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt experience; Black Belt certification from a recognized source is preferred.
• Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques, and operational management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong verbal, written, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to work across PDE, finance, HR, and supply chain functions.

Nice to have

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with simulation software.
