What you will do

• Contribute to the art, science, and business of architectural lighting design across project teams.
• Produce design presentations, CAD/models, construction documents, and construction administration support materials.
• Perform lighting, energy, and economic calculations and support building certification compliance credits.
• Train colleagues and provide guidance on CAD and model production standards.
• Build relationships with colleagues and clients and support marketing, qualifications packages, and industry leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering specializing in Lighting Design or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience devoted to architectural lighting design.
• Lighting Certified (LC) through NCQLP or the ability to attain certification.
• Membership in IES and/or associate membership in IALD.
• Strong skills with AGI32, eLumtools, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and sustainable design practices.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, prioritization, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Lighting Designer (CLD) through IALD, PE license, or a master’s degree in Architectural Lighting or Architectural Engineering specializing in Lighting Design.
• LEED, WELL, and/or EDAC accreditation.
• Experience in healthcare, science and technology, federal, entertainment, corporate commercial, or civic projects.
• Experience with SketchUp, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Rhino, Grasshopper, DIVA, iRay, or Lumion.
