Building Performance Analyst

Location: Dallas, Fort Worth, or Houston, Texas, United States; four days in-office with flexibility to work outside the office on Fridays

Salary: $100,800–$161,200 USD per year

What you will do

• Support architects and engineers during design by identifying and quantifying impactful building performance strategies.
• Perform energy modeling, daylighting analysis, energy and life cycle analysis, and measurement and verification for post-occupancy evaluation.
• Evaluate energy conservation measures involving building form, envelopes, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
• Develop sustainability and performance narratives, reports, deliverables, and LEED documentation across project phases.
• Lead integrated design charrettes and provide actionable building performance data to project teams.
• Support Architecture 2030 targets and advocate for high-performance and sustainable building design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, engineering, interior design, or an equivalent field.
• 6+ years of experience in energy modeling and building performance analysis.
• At least 1 year of experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment for energy modeling.
• Proficiency in energy modeling, building analysis, daylight analysis software, and Revit.
• Knowledge of sustainable building design and the ability to communicate building science research, performance metrics, and predictions through comprehensive reports.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE 209, ASHRAE 90.1, ASHRAE 62.1, and ASHRAE 55.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in architectural engineering, engineering, interior design, or an equivalent field.
• Knowledge of parametric design tools such as Ladybug and Honeybee.
• ASHRAE, BEMP, HBDP, LEED Accredited Professional, WELL, or RESET certification.
