TL;DR

Location: Los Angeles, United States

Base salary: $160,000–$225,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

  • Supervise Accounting Managers responsible for maintaining books and records for closed-end funds and separate accounts within Private Equity Strategies.
  • Oversee monthly portfolio closing, including pricing, portfolio data reconciliation, management fee calculations, and expense accruals.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting controls and appropriate Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
  • Review fund and client-specific performance calculations and consolidated fund information.
  • Research technical accounting guidance and support new accounting pronouncements and ad hoc requests from Client Services and the Investment Team.

Requirements

  • 13–15 years of accounting experience in financial services, preferably investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation, account analysis, investment company accounting rules, and back leverage financing structures.
  • Understanding of investment exclusion rights and participation, as well as season and sell strategy treatment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Investran required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Geneva or Geneva World Investor accounting systems.
  • CPA certification.
