Location: Seneca, South Carolina, United States; same-day travel to other business sites or customer locations may be required for vessel pickup, delivery, and service activities.
Salary: $15.00–$26.00 per hour, including a $13.00–$15.00 base rate and $2.00–$11.00 hourly commission.

What you will do
- Perform routine boat and engine maintenance, including oil changes, winterization, and spark plug and battery replacement.
- Assist experienced technicians with boat repairs, installations, and maintenance of engines and vessel components.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and support vessel testing and diagnostics.
- Review repair orders, vessel specifications, service histories, and safety inspections to identify recommended work.
- Track repair time and labor, maintain organized work areas, and clean boats before customer return.
- Support boat movement, light refurbishment, training, meetings, and occasional promotional events or boat shows.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical or technical experience from professional work or personal projects.
- Familiarity with hand tools and willingness to provide basic personal mechanical tools and a toolbox.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to write professional summaries of completed work.
- Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license with a clean MVR, plus successful background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, near water and docks, operate boats and equipment, use ladders, and move up to 50 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience in automotive, powersports, air conditioning, telecommunications, or another mechanical or technical trade.
- Technical education, trade school completion, or relevant certification.
- Knowledge of boats and their operation.
