Operations Finance Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Duluth, Georgia, USA, supporting manufacturing facilities in Johns Creek and Swansboro, Georgia; regular travel to Swansboro is required.

What you will do

• Lead the cost accounting department and provide coaching, guidance, and clear expectations to the team.
• Oversee the financial operations of two complex manufacturing sites and support two site Controllers.
• Serve as the costing subject matter expert for standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, and plant financial performance.
• Partner with Operations and Finance leadership to improve plant performance and support business objectives.
• Provide financial leadership for the Swansboro and Johns Creek facilities, including regular travel to Swansboro.
• Drive strategic decision-making related to sourcing, localization, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA designation.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience, including 2 years in a financial management role within a relevant industry.
• Strong manufacturing finance experience with expertise in standard costing, cost accounting, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting, CAPEX processes, and plant finance support.
• Experience supporting or owning portions of the P&L and using financial insights to influence business decisions.
• Strong leadership, executive communication, talent development, process improvement, and root-cause analysis skills.
