On-Site Construction Manager

What you will do

• Lead weekly construction update conferences with clients and coordination meetings with contractors.
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve contractor RFIs and issue submittals.
• Coordinate clients, project managers, vendors, contractors, landlords, and building departments throughout construction.
• Maintain uninterrupted equipment operation in critical environments by developing solutions for HVAC, generator, and utility upgrades.
• Create Method of Procedure documents detailing project task steps for clients.
• Update project schedules and progress through the Project Mates construction portal while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Project Lead in the food and dairy industries with a manufacturer or engineering consultant.
• Ability to develop project schedules, track milestones and deadlines, and manage project budgets.
• Experience managing meeting notes and follow-up lists, working independently, and taking initiative.
• Ability to review and interpret construction drawings.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of BMS/BAS systems.
• Experience in mission-critical facilities.
• Previous commissioning experience.
