Collections Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build, hire, and lead the personal loans collections team, including supervisors and collectors.
• Execute the collections program across delinquency stages in partnership with Risk.
• Manage third-party collection agencies, including selection, onboarding, performance management, and volume allocation.
• Own reporting and performance across roll rates, cure rates, cost to collect, and right-party contact.
• Ensure collections activities meet FDCPA and applicable state regulatory requirements in partnership with Legal and Compliance.
• Build and improve collections processes, procedures, SOPs, and solutions for tooling and platform gaps.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in consumer lending collections or loan servicing.
• 3+ years of experience in people leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing third-party collection agencies and improving performance through data and collections KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of collections compliance, FDCPA, and applicable state regulations.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience partnering with Risk, Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• Must be based in the United States.

• Experience in fintech, digital lending, or non-bank financial services.
• Experience building or scaling a collections team or program from the ground up.
• Familiarity with personal loans, student loans, or unsecured installment lending.
• Experience using automation or modern technology to improve collections processes.
