Collections Specialist

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States; hybrid work arrangements available

What you will do

• Contact customers with accounts 10–60 days past due and arrange timely payments.
• Handle inbound and outbound communication regarding billing, taxation, insurance, maintenance, contract terms, purchase options, and account history.
• Research and respond to customer disputes and collection-related inquiries.
• Investigate the causes of delinquency and overcome obstacles to secure payment.
• Process phone calls, internal inquiries, meetings, and other requests concurrently.
• Manage approximately 36 accounts per day and support cross-functional portfolio management efforts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform in a high-intensity, customer-focused environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to research, analyze, and resolve problems, with general math and computation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in collections, financial services, leasing, or an equivalent field.
