Billing & Collections Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Billing & Collections team while setting priorities, allocating workloads, and managing performance.
• Own the end-to-end billing cycle, including invoice generation, pricing and contract-term verification, and invoice distribution.
• Manage accounts receivable, cash reconciliation, aging reports, overdue balances, bad-debt risk, and revenue-recognition reconciliations.
• Handle complex customer billing and collections conversations, escalations, and key customer relationships.
• Build reports covering billing and collections performance, team KPIs, risks, and trends.
• Improve controls, automate manual work, strengthen revenue collection, and partner with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, or related financial operations.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing a Billing, Collections, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Operations team.
• Strong knowledge of billing processes, collection strategies, account reconciliation, and accounting principles.
• Experience with billing platforms, CRM systems, Stripe, Shopify, HubSpot, or similar tools.
• Previous experience in fintech, payments, or payment processing, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent English and a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• MBA or another advanced qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Experience leading billing and collections for a global SaaS business.
• Experience managing a remote or distributed finance operations team.
• Experience improving or automating billing and collection workflows.
