Injection Mold Maker

Location: Carpentersville, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time

Hourly hiring range: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

hirify.global manufactures products requiring injection molding tooling and operates a dedicated molding department.

What you will do

• Fabricate, maintain, alter, and repair injection molding tooling.
• Work from blueprints and CAD models to construct and modify molds.
• Operate and work with CNC, EDM, surface grinders, mills, and other tool-room equipment.
• Perform piece-part inspection against quality specifications.
• Assist with preventative mold maintenance, part design for manufacturability, supply ordering, customer communication, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and support other related molding-department duties.

Requirements

• Completed OTTO apprenticeship or five years of mold-making and repair experience.
• Knowledge of injection molding tool design, tool steels, production materials, and basic injection molding operations.
• Proficiency in CAD and blueprint reading.
• Ability to run CNC and EDM machines and use surface grinders and mills.
• Sound inspection and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work overtime when needed.
