Molding Technician (Injection Molding)

Location: Carpentersville, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Set up and tear down molding machines according to production schedules.
• Perform advanced tool changeovers, run samples, and formulate molding processes.
• Troubleshoot complex processing problems and optimize existing processes.
• Confirm material use against bills of materials and perform quarterly material inventory.
• Help reduce scrap and maintain departmental routers and equipment.
• Train new employees, demonstrate leadership, and perform machine operator and trainee duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of injection molding experience.
• Experience with tool changeovers and knowledge of inspection tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height, with assistance when necessary.
• Reliable attendance and availability for nonstandard or extended work schedules.
• Good communication skills, moderate computer skills, and ability to differentiate colors.
