Injection Mold Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift, Ball Plant Three)

Location: New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; 2nd shift, onsite.

Salary: $29.90–$37.25 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up and troubleshoot injection molding, blending, and grinding processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on molds, machines, automation, and related support equipment.
• Repair and maintain injection molding machines, molds, blenders, grinders, conveying equipment, hoists, and hoppers.
• Maintain machine, mold, and equipment inventory.
• Record work orders, preventive maintenance, materials, and parts in a computerized maintenance system.
• Adjust processes and collaborate with production to identify and correct injection cup and assembly defects.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining injection molding equipment.
• Own trade-related tools required for the role.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical production equipment and electronic equipment controls.
• Ability to install, repair, and maintain injection molding and support equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automation equipment and make process adjustments to bring parts into specification.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, including lockout/tagout.
