Area Bridges & Structures Business Class Leader

What you will do

• Lead the technical capabilities and operations of the Alaska Bridges and Structures Business Class.
• Manage project staffing, workloads, resource balancing, utilization, budgets, scopes, and cost estimates.
• Plan and oversee bridge and structural design, inspection, rehabilitation, and maritime infrastructure projects.
• Direct and mentor staff while coordinating with project managers, operations, marketing, and other business class leaders.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures, technical standards, best practices, and corrective actions.
• Support strategic planning, business development, recruiting, training programs, and proposal development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in professional architecture, engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience leading transportation projects and teams.
• Professional engineering or structural engineering registration, with registration in Alaska or the ability to obtain it.
• Experience managing diverse teams, project financials, contracts, budgets, and capital improvements.
• Strong structural design, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, understand applicable regulations, and work with agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
