Structural Engineer, PE (Transportation)

Location: Florida, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What you will do

• Manage complex transportation and structural engineering projects from concept development through construction.
• Develop design concepts, engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules, contract documents, and permit applications.
• Lead highway bridge and miscellaneous structures design assignments in coordination with clients and contractors.
• Represent HBC in technical meetings and act as a liaison with clients, contractors, municipalities, utility companies, and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate subconsultants, support bridge inspections and maintenance evaluations, and provide bid-phase and post-design construction services.
• Supervise junior staff and provide technical and professional guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• 5–20 years of experience on FDOT or other state transportation agency projects is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida is required.
• Experience managing complex multi-discipline projects and multiple active assignments.
• Strong client liaison, written communication, verbal communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Required experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Mathcad experience.
• MicroStation experience.
