Senior Bridge Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; projects may extend across Pennsylvania and other states as needed.

Salary: $132,708.77–$151,667.16 per year.

What you will do

• Lead structural engineering efforts on transportation and multidisciplinary projects.
• Manage bridge and infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction.
• Design and analyze bridges, retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other transportation-related structures.
• Develop bridge rehabilitation solutions, perform bridge load ratings, and prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct constructability and quality control reviews, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction-phase services.
• Support proposals and pursuit strategies while mentoring and developing engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania.
• At least 15 years of experience designing and managing bridges and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated project management, business development, client relationship, and team leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Mathcad.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with Midas, LARS, MDX, V-Bent, CSiBridge, LEAP Bridge, STAAD, AASHTOWARE, and PennDOT programs.
• Proficiency with OpenBridge, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, and timber transportation structures.
