Software Engineer III (Open Banking)

What you will do

• Design, write, test, implement, support, and document solutions for assigned program modules.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to estimate effort, timing, feasibility, and system functionality.
• Design scalable and secure applications based on business requirements.
• Review code and ensure alignment with business needs, change-control procedures, and development standards.
• Lead technical design discussions, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience independently identifying issues across interrelated programs and systems.
• Strong software engineering foundations, design patterns, and modern development methodologies.
• Proven expertise in Java, SQL, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and service-to-service communication.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, Domain-Driven Design, distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, API management, and resiliency patterns.

Nice to have

• CI/CD experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of banking, Open Banking, Banking-as-a-Service, payment processing, and financial-services security and compliance.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, front-end or mobile technologies, architectural roadmaps, and platform engineering.
