Sustaining Engineer

What you will do

• Lead and support value engineering and continuous product improvement initiatives across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze product designs, manufacturing processes, materials, components, and suppliers to improve cost competitiveness, quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
• Manage engineering changes, product updates, product transfers, localization projects, and manufacturing transitions.
• Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, product documentation, and bills of materials.
• Support manufacturing teams with technical issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate technical evaluations, supplier collaboration, laboratory testing, product validation, and CE compliance support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustaining, value, product, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with industrial equipment, instrumentation, automation, machinery products, product lifecycle management, cost reduction, and manufacturing optimization.
• Strong technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, project management, planning, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation in English.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD; understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM, DFA, product cost analysis, supplier qualification, and engineering change management.

Nice to have

• Mechanical Engineering or Automation background and experience with manufacturing operations and supply chain organizations.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with SAP C4C, SAP, or other ERP systems.
• Experience supporting CE certification and regulatory compliance activities.
• Familiarity with adhesive dispensing, fluid handling, automation equipment, or industrial machinery.
