Mechanical Engineer II (SolidWorks)

What you will do

• Research design proposals, specifications, and technical data to assess feasibility.
• Design and develop mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and heat transfer systems and products.
• Create concepts, layouts, SolidWorks 3D models, fabrication and assembly drawings, assembly models, and bills of materials.
• Lead or support new project and technology development initiatives, product maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Develop test equipment and testing methods, and support fabrication and installation activities.
• Manage engineering changes, provide technical support to departments and customers, and present technical information to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a BSME is preferred.
• Three to five years of related experience.
• Experience designing and supporting low- to medium-volume products in a fast-paced environment with strict quality requirements.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools and rapid prototyping processes.
• Experience developing dispensing systems, fluid handling systems, and electro-mechanical valves.
• Experience bringing designs into production using design for manufacturing, FMEAs, and other quality control techniques.
