Senior Mechanical Engineering (MedTech)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Maintain production machinery and equipment efficiently and support maintenance operations.
• Lead machinery upgrades and equipment development projects.
• Manage preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities, including work orders and spare parts control in Maximo.
• Prepare maintenance reports covering OEE, trends, frequency, unplanned downtime, and preventive-maintenance completion.
• Support equipment validation, minor maintenance change projects, audit-observation closure, and maintenance nonconformance investigations.
• Coordinate with quality, EHS, production, purchasing, finance, human resources, technicians, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in maintenance or engineering.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
• Knowledge of analytical reasoning, problem solving, mechanical engineering, equipment reliability, HSE management, validation testing, and quality control.
• Ability to maintain accurate machinery documentation and support internal and external audits.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO, GMP, or FDA requirements.
• Experience using or developing digital tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
• Project management, budgeting, supervision, and technical credibility.
