Studio Leader, K-12 Education

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Hybrid work model with four days in the office and flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead project execution in alignment with budget, schedule, scope, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Manage client relationships, educate clients on the design process, and maintain consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on staffing, responsibilities, performance feedback, and coordination of project personnel.
• Coordinate meetings, vendors, consultants, project milestones, deliverables, and status reporting.
• Participate in contract negotiations, manage change requests, and approve project plan modifications.
• Support business development through RFP responses and client interviews, while overseeing invoicing and accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related construction field; professional licensure is preferred.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the AEC industry, including at least 5 years in a client-facing role leading K-12 education projects.
• Strong understanding of business management, strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership.
• Knowledge of customer service principles, needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
• Expertise in design techniques and tools for producing technical plans, drawings, and models, plus familiarity with construction methods, materials, and systems.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, communication, active listening, and collaboration skills.
