Project Executive (K-12)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; travel to project work sites is required.

Estimated pay: $152,000–$240,000 per year.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is a construction manager and general contractor providing preconstruction, construction, and contracting services across education and other commercial markets.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale, complex K-12 construction projects and project teams while ensuring quality, timely delivery, safety, and profitability.
• Direct project management operations, including staffing, performance management, team development, coaching, mentoring, and retention.
• Oversee preconstruction, constructability reviews, estimating, budgets, schedules, trade contractor bidding, buy-out, and close-out activities.
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary interface with owners, design teams, trade contractors, and senior management.
• Analyze project progress, costs, cash flow, risks, change orders, quality control, and profitability.
• Support business development through market networking, proposals, presentations, client care, and procurement of future projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of construction project management experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 12+ years of related project management experience with an associate’s degree.
• 4+ years of people management experience and a record of progressively responsible project leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and construction project management software, including Prolog, Microsoft Project, and P6.
• Experience with value engineering, life cycle costing, project financial processes, building plans and specifications, and multiple contract types under CMR and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Current or attainable OSHA 30 certification and compliance with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel to project work sites. Strong integrity, communication, team-building, business development, and operational leadership skills are required.
