What you will do

• Manage multiple campus design and construction projects simultaneously, ranging in value from $1 million to $30 million.
• Oversee projects across planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Coordinate delivery of higher education and educational facility construction projects.
• Manage project issues, multitask across concurrent assignments, and support successful project delivery.
• Work with capital improvement programs, alternative delivery methods, and construction partnering processes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience managing multiple design and construction projects.
• BA or BS in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management, or a closely related field; 4 additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement.
• Ability to solve problems, multitask, and deliver projects successfully.
• Preferred experience with large capital improvement programs and the California Public Contract Code.
• Preferred experience with educational facility construction, formal construction partnering, alternative delivery methods, and Division of the State Architect processes.
• Preferred professional registration as a California architect or professional engineer, or a valid Construction Manager credential.
