Manager of IT (Okta)

Location: Remote, US; fully remote with periodic in-person retreats.

Salary: $124,000–$138,000 annual salary.

What you will do

• Run the IT operating rhythm, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, ticket hygiene, SLA tracking, and project delivery.
• Directly manage, develop, and mentor the IT support team while serving as the senior technical escalation point.
• Own Okta identity and access management, including RBAC, group architecture, SSO, SCIM integrations, and lifecycle provisioning automation.
• Administer macOS endpoints, MDM, zero-touch deployment, OS update strategy, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and Jira Service Management.
• Automate onboarding and access requests, build IT operations dashboards, and reconcile SaaS licenses against headcount.
• Partner with Security, HR, Clinical, Commercial, and Engineering on access reviews, audit evidence, onboarding/offboarding, runbooks, and end-user documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive IT operations and systems administration experience, including direct people management.
• Deep experience with enterprise identity administration, RBAC, SSO/SCIM integrations, and provisioning workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience managing approximately 400 macOS endpoints through MDM and cloud collaboration platforms.
• Experience building operational reporting dashboards for ticket execution, SLA tracking, and license utilization.
• Ability to operate in regulated healthcare or compliance environments, including HIPAA and SOC 2 access reviews and audit evidence gathering.
• Strong cross-functional communication, project delivery, meeting facilitation, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kandji, Google Workspace, Zoom Phone IVR and queues, Jira Service Management, or Zoho CRM.
• Practical experience applying AI tools to secure and compliant IT operational workflows.
