Senior IT Support Engineer (Okta)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; onsite four days per week with Fridays remote.

Fixed annual salary: $91,000–$114,000. Target total compensation is $100,000–$125,000 including bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own Okta administration, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, MFA policies, lifecycle management, groups, roles, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Design and automate joiner, mover, and leaver workflows and lead SaaS application onboarding with SSO and SCIM integrations.
• Conduct access reviews, manage entitlements across Okta and Google Workspace, and partner with Security on conditional access, device trust, MFA, and privileged access controls.
• Execute endpoint, security tooling, network, and hardware projects while coordinating with vendors and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Support the Chicago office, including Wi-Fi, conference rooms, badge systems, printers, guest networking, Mac and Windows endpoints, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Provide responsive white-glove technical support for Feastables leadership and visiting Beast Industries executives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or a related field, including at least 2 years focused on identity and access management.
• Production Okta administration experience covering SSO, SCIM, MFA, lifecycle management, group design, role management, and authentication troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Google Workspace and Slack, onboarding SaaS applications, and implementing SSO and SCIM integrations.
• Experience managing Mac environments with FleetDM and Munki, supporting Windows endpoints, and deploying Zoom Rooms with Logitech Rally Bar systems.
• Hands-on networking experience with Wi-Fi, switches, access points, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting.
• Daily proficiency with AI tools, strong technical documentation skills, and experience leading multi-week technical projects under competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Okta Workflows automation and scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Google Apps Script.
• Experience with AI coding tools, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, identity governance platforms, Notion, SentinelOne, or Oomnitza.
• Experience supporting production, creative, or studio environments and physical access-control systems such as Openpath, KISI, or Brivo.
