Senior IT Support Engineer (IAM)

TL;DR

Senior IT Support Engineer (IAM): Building and scaling identity and access management systems for Beast Industries and Feastables with an accent on Okta administration and infrastructure reliability. Focus on automating joiner/mover/leaver workflows, implementing SSO/SCIM integrations, and providing high-touch executive technical support.

Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL) — On-site 4 days per week, Fridays remote

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 total compensation

What you will do

• Own Okta administration, including SSO configuration, SCIM provisioning, MFA policies, and lifecycle management.
• Drive and automate joiner, mover, and leaver workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead application onboarding efforts, coordinating with vendors for SSO and SCIM integrations.
• Partner with the Security team on conditional access, device trust, and privileged access controls.
• Maintain Chicago office technology, including Wi-Fi, conference rooms, and badge systems.
• Provide white-glove technical support for Feastables leadership and visiting executives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT support or systems engineering.
• 2+ years of specialized experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Proven experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack in production environments.
• Proficiency in managing Mac (FleetDM, Munki) and Windows endpoints.
• Hands-on networking knowledge including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Daily proficiency using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) as part of technical workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Okta Workflows automation.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Google Apps Script.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
• Familiarity with SentinelOne, Oomnitza, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with physical security systems like Openpath, KISI, or Brivo.
