Electronics Technician

Location: Onsite in Santa Barbara, California, United States

Salary: $40.00–$50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform electronic assembly and manufacturing, including circuit cards, control panels, harnesses, cables, and military interconnects.
• Solder through-hole and SMT components using microscopes or other vision-enhancing tools.
• Work with high-power and high-voltage AC/DC circuits and controllers.
• Test, troubleshoot, disassemble, reassemble, and repair electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
• Build and verify in-house electronic test equipment and interpret schematics, drawings, assembly instructions, and parts lists.
• Coordinate with engineering, drafting, machine shop, quality assurance, purchasing, subcontractors, and vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Formal electronics training or at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• J-STD-001 or equivalent soldering certification, or the ability to obtain it.
• Experience with military cable manufacturing, small power and hand tools, and electronic measuring equipment.
• Ability to read technical documentation and apply ESD prevention and electro-mechanical lab safety practices.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic component assembly and repair.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, meters, and Microsoft Office Suite.
