Fabrication Operator Lead (Electrical Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite production role

What you will do

• Lead and support the fabrication team in meeting daily safety, quality, delivery, and communication goals.
• Train new hires and existing operators using comprehensive training plans, standard work, and assembly procedures.
• Cover team absences when needed to maintain continuous production flow.
• Promote lean principles, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and takt time.
• Conduct safety inspections and strengthen a behavior-based safety culture.
• Mentor operators on quality standards, maintain documentation, resolve workflow barriers, and provide backup support to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of production work experience preferred.
• Expertise in the assigned production process and knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and train operators on standard work.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet; adaptability in a changing business environment.
