Sr. Software Engineer - Temporary - Java/SpringBoot/AWS

Location: Hybrid in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York; candidates must already be eligible to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base pay: $118,000–$152,000 USD per year for Phoenix, AZ.

What you will do

• Develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software product applications.
• Build complex Java web services and product capabilities using Spring Boot.
• Manage source code with Git, review and approve pull requests, and maintain code quality.
• Query platform data with SQL-based databases and document technical decisions in Confluence.
• Build automated tests integrated into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot complex development bugs.
• Support secure software engineering, risk management, and the confidentiality and integrity of systems and data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of direct software engineering or related experience.
• Required proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot, Git and Git Flow, SQL, and RESTful service design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Successful background and drug screening, plus current U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOAP services and data formats such as XML, JSON, and YAML.
• Experience with NoSQL databases including Redis, HBase, or Aerospike.
• FinTech experience and additional related education or work experience.
