Automation Technician I/II/III

Location: On-site at the Machine Development Center in Schofield, Wisconsin, United States. Minimal travel is required.

Salary: $33.45–$50.91 per hour

What you will do

• Build, wire, assemble, and install electrical controls for machines and tooling systems.
• Write basic PLC-HMI programs using various software packages.
• Create electrical schematics and cabinet layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Design low-complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Develop electrical parts lists, order project components through Ariba, and wire external machine components.
• Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machines for production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required for Level I.
• Relevant experience: 0–2 years for Level I, 2–4 years for Level II, or 4–6 years for Level III.
• For Levels II and III, an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent job experience, is required.
• For Levels II and III: AutoCAD or drafting software, basic PLC training, and basic HMI programming.
• Ability to work on-site in Schofield, Wisconsin, with minimal travel.
