What you will do

• Design and develop outdoor power equipment components, sub-assemblies, and systems from concept and CAD through validation and production release.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, tolerance stacks, and product specifications.
• Analyze design trade-offs involving performance, cost, weight, manufacturability, reliability, safety, and durability.
• Resolve design issues, field failures, and manufacturing concerns using structured problem-solving methods.
• Support prototype builds, design verification, pilot builds, PPAP, ramp-up, engineering changes, and product release activities.
• Collaborate with product management, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, quality, suppliers, and global cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of design experience in consumer, industrial, or electromechanical products; internships and co-op experience are considered.
• Experience with 3D CAD, such as Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or an equivalent tool.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product development and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal, die casting, machining, or other manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with prototype assembly and product testing.
