Electrical & Instrument Technician

Location: Middletown, Delaware, United States. Onsite role with rotating second shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., including weekends.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, select, install, calibrate, and verify electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electrohydraulic testing equipment.
• Develop specifications for nonstandard test apparatus using engineering data and equipment characteristics.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
• Install or direct outside contractors during equipment installation, repair, and upkeep.
• Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing and produce graphs.
• Translate test data for engineering personnel while following safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical/trade school, five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience with cascaded drive systems, ladder logic, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Allen-Bradley RSView32, DC drive systems, and AC vectored drive systems.
• Programming and computer skills.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and adapt to change.
