Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Tanner, Alabama, United States; onsite, full-time work with rotating shifts and overtime

What you will do

• Perform preventive and condition-based maintenance on furnaces, presses, hydraulic systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using testing instruments, diagrams, control circuits, and manufacturer documentation.
• Remove and replace defective parts, adjust equipment and control instruments, and fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Plan and execute shutdown and outage maintenance while keeping spare parts and drawings up to date.
• Communicate with maintenance and production groups to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support crew-based production activities and work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Controls/PLCs.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant electrical and/or instrumentation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens S7 PLCs.
• Ability to read and understand control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops, and control circuits.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical examination, and drug and alcohol screening; must meet fall protection requirements and be available for rotating shifts and overtime.
