Group Leader - Assembly (Manufacturing)

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; regular in-person and on-site attendance required

What you will do

• Support the Supervisor in overseeing daily assembly and departmental operations.
• Perform key departmental tasks and lead team members through hands-on work.
• Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules, including assisting with materials coordination.
• Provide feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training support to employees.
• Identify and implement process improvements using knowledge of equipment, tools, standards, and workflow.
• Assist with inspections, product quality, safety compliance, and maintaining 6S standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as production demands require.
• Regular and reliable attendance in person and on site.
• Ability to work in a production environment with noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, climbing, and tool use.
• Required personal protective equipment must be worn, with sufficient visual and auditory acuity for safe equipment operation.

Nice to have

• Previous leadership experience.
• Associate degree or trade certificates related to the job function.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
