Workday Engagement Leader - Senior Director - Higher Ed (Workday)

Salary: $215,000–$275,000 base salary annually; total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $279,500–$357,500.

What you will do

• Serve as program executive and trusted advisor for higher education Workday engagements, including large-scale transformations and post-production support.
• Lead executive client relationships, steering committees, governance discussions, escalations, and strategic communications.
• Oversee delivery across scope, timeline, budget, quality, risk, organizational change, resource planning, and client satisfaction.
• Advise institutions on operating models, workforce transformation, finance modernization, student and research administration, shared services, Agentic AI, and Workday roadmap alignment.
• Lead sales pursuits, executive presentations, proposals, pricing, contract negotiations, alliance management, cross-selling, and account growth.
• Mentor Engagement Leaders, Project Managers, Directors, and consulting teams while supporting recruiting and leadership development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in consulting, information technology, enterprise software, or digital transformation leadership.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex enterprise application implementations and transformation programs.
• Prior Workday implementation or Workday ecosystem experience, with experience in HR, Finance, Student, Payroll, or Enterprise Transformation initiatives.
• Experience serving higher education institutions, including colleges, universities, research organizations, or academic health systems.
• Experience with executive advisory, financial management, contract negotiations, alliance management, complex sales pursuits, and large matrixed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working with R1 higher education institutions.
• Experience with cloud ERP, HCM, Finance, or Student transformation initiatives.
