Civil Construction Inspector 1

Location: United States, Kentucky — Paducah, Bowling Green, or Lexington

hirify.global provides construction and field services for civil infrastructure projects, including transportation, water, wastewater, transit, and power facilities.

What you will do

• Conduct and document construction observations for roads, bridges, water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
• Monitor, record, and inspect progress on civil construction projects.
• Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air tests, concrete test cylinders, and in-place soil compaction tests.
• Work under the general supervision of a Senior Inspector, who reviews work in progress.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work in the Kentucky locations associated with the role; preference is given to local candidates.
• Visa sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Technical school or an associate degree.
• Some experience in construction inspection.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.
• KYTC certifications or the ability to obtain them.
• Road and bridge construction experience.
