Senior Construction Inspector

Location: On-site in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona, with work across various areas throughout Arizona

What you will do

• Inspect bridge, road, and highway construction projects and complete daily inspection reports.
• Verify compliance with contract plans, specifications, City standards, construction safety rules, and regulations.
• Document contractor manpower, equipment, findings, and field investigations accurately.
• Monitor traffic control and report inspection information promptly to the Resident Engineer.
• Provide technical assistance to inspectors and Resident Engineers and help resolve field issues with contractors and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering, architecture, or construction field.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• 12+ years of experience with complex roadway and bridge construction practices.
• Experience overseeing company and local agency staff and subcontractors, and collaborating with Resident Engineers and clients.
• Ability to write concise reviews, comments, and reports and communicate effectively with contractors and project teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Arizona and travel to various project areas throughout the state.

Nice to have

• ATTI, ACI, or ATSSA certification.
• Construction management experience on ADOT projects or projects under ADOT oversight.
