Compliance & Risk Consultant, Senior - Flexible Location

Location: Oakland, California; hybrid work with an expectation of being in the office three times per week. Position headquarters are flexible throughout the PG&E service territory, with Oakland preferred.

Salary: $105,000–$169,000 for the Bay Area or $100,000–$161,000 for California.

What you will do

• Review and approve data responses for accuracy, consistency, tone, completeness, and confidentiality.
• Lead data-response quality reviews and develop quality-control checklists and best practices.
• Research prior responses, identify process gaps, and recommend efficiency and quality improvements.
• Perform data analysis, priors analysis, data quality checks, and ad-hoc reporting to support compliance decisions.
• Manage the intake, logging, assignment, tracking, and completion of data requests.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, maintain databases and process documentation, and produce final responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory policy, compliance concepts, risk management, records management, confidentiality protocols, approval standards, and lifecycle governance.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and compliance tracking tools such as DRU Tracker, Power Apps, and RMA.
• Ability to define data models, logging rules, refresh cadences, and reporting requirements with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to apply analytical reasoning and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and historical data.

Nice to have

• Degree in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration.
• Certified Internal Auditor, RIMS-CRMP, CCEP, or LPEC certification.
• Electrical engineering knowledge with substation, distribution, or transmission experience.
• Familiarity with CPUC/OEIS requirements, PG&E compliance frameworks, audit or assurance, and applied analytics.
