Applications Engineer (Instrumentation)

Location: Gudai Road, Minhang District, Shanghai, China; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Provide technical support and proposals during customer product evaluation, integration, and deployment.
• Design pneumatic and hydraulic control circuits, select instrumentation, and develop instrument loop schematics.
• Design actuator-to-valve mechanical interfaces and instrument-line piping and tubing layouts.
• Serve as the primary technical contact in pre-sales discussions and propose automation solutions.
• Create and maintain application notes, datasheets, FAQs, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Support sales teams and deliver technical training to internal teams and external customers while collaborating with R&D, product, and sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, product development, or valve actuation product design.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, electrical and automation control design, or software applications.
• Proficiency with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Profibus, CAN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Solid knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic design.
