Field Service Technician

Location: Salinas, California, United States; regular travel to customer locations and occasional travel outside the normal service area.

Salary: $20–$27 per hour

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair copiers, multifunction printers, managed print systems, and related equipment.
• Install software, accessories, feature keys, and equipment systems, then test them after installation or repair.
• Diagnose hardware, connectivity, printing, and production-related issues.
• Provide on-site customer service, explain technical problems and solutions, and maintain customer relationships.
• Document service calls, repairs, upgrades, maintenance, inventory, orders, and deliveries.
• Travel to customer sites, maintain the company vehicle and tools, and work outside normal business hours when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
• Understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network connectivity.
• Strong communication, customer-service, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work independently in the field.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree or technical-school education.
• Experience with copiers, multifunction printers, large-format equipment, or production printing.
