On-Site Field Service Technician (Electromechanical)

Location: On-site at a customer location in Romeoville, Illinois, United States. The role requires driving to customer sites, on-call availability, overtime as needed, flexible shifts, and occasional temporary assignments in other locations.

Salary: $22.68–$35.65 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on hirify.global equipment at customer sites.
• Test, diagnose, and repair mechanical embossers, thermal imaging and laminating systems, magstripe and chip data-writing equipment, and ultraviolet curing systems.
• Clean and calibrate rollers, sensors, data read/write devices, and application-pressure systems.
• Evaluate and replace worn or misaligned motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, temperature sensors, proximity sensors, and position sensors.
• Manage service calls through a dispatch system, maintain trunk inventory, and complete accurate service activity reports.
• Interact independently with customer operations staff, complete required training, and assist colleagues with complex repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least two years of electrical and mechanical technician experience.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with proficiency using PCs, current operating systems, and relevant software.
• Valid active driver's license and insurability where applicable.
• Ability to drive to customer sites, work flexible shifts, travel when required, remain on call, and work overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform prolonged driving, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and walking.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent verifiable training.
• Additional electromechanical or field service experience.
• Experience with hirify.global central issuance equipment.
• Knowledge of electromechanics, digital electronics, software, tools, and electronic test equipment.
