Field Service Technician (Electromechanical)

Location: United States - Field; Romeoville, Illinois. Daily travel to customer sites is required.

Salary: $22.68–$35.65 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on hirify.global equipment at customer sites.
• Test, diagnose, and repair card printer systems, including mechanical embossers, laminating systems, data-writing devices, and ultraviolet curing equipment.
• Clean and calibrate rollers, sensors, cavities, read/write devices, and application components.
• Evaluate and replace worn or misaligned motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, and temperature, proximity, and position sensors.
• Use service manuals, laptops, voltmeters, and hand tools to troubleshoot and complete repairs.
• Manage service calls, inventory, activity reporting, customer communication, and dispatch activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of electromechanical technician experience.
• Proficient problem-solving, troubleshooting, PC, operating system, and software skills.
• Valid active driver's license and insurability where applicable.
• Ability and willingness to drive to several customer sites daily and travel for temporary off-site assignments when required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, be on call, work overtime as needed, and lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent verifiable training.
• Additional electromechanical or field service experience.
• Experience with hirify.global central issuance equipment.
• Advanced technical education and proficiency in electro-mechanics, digital electronics, and service software.
• Experience using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
