Low Voltage Cable Technician

Location: Torrance, California; field projects across Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and nearby areas. Travel between project sites is required.

Salary: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience, with consistent full-time hours.

What you will do

• Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
• Troubleshoot cabling issues and perform certification testing.
• Read and follow blueprints, project specifications, and installation requirements.
• Maintain safe and clean job sites while working in field conditions.
• Support field teams through project completion and submit daily documentation.

Requirements

• At least one year of low-voltage cabling experience.
• Hands-on experience with cable terminations, punch-downs, pulling, and testing.
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate professionally on job sites.
• Reliable vehicle that can accommodate a 6-foot ladder and personal tools.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in field conditions.

Nice to have

• Two to three years of fiber termination experience.
• Experience using Fluke testers.
