Technician, Facility Services, Low Voltage (Low Voltage Systems)

Location: Kalispell, Montana, United States; domestic travel to multiple facilities and work-sites with overnight stays is required.

Hourly wage: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up and configure security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling.
• Run, terminate, label, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade low-voltage systems.
• Provide technical support and train end users on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain installation, maintenance, repair, and system-performance records and reports.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, project managers, customers, and business partners to complete projects.
• Follow electrical, safety, regulatory, ethics, and compliance standards while supporting process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in electrical work, material handling equipment, or a related technical trade, or two years of Walmart store experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment, plus knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to read and speak English is required.
• Valid commercial driving record, DOT physical, and medical certification are required.

Nice to have

• Technical training or certification in low-voltage systems.
• CompTIA Network+ or other networking certification.
• Honeywell, Axis, Bosch, or other manufacturer-specific certifications.
• NICET Level 1 or 2 Fire Alarm Certification.
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification.
