Electrical Substation Resident Engineer

Location: Concord, California, United States; field work also covers traction power substations in Richmond and Oakland.

Salary: USD $88.40–$105.00 per hour

What you will do

• Lead construction management services for BART’s Transbay Corridor Core Capacity Program traction power facilities.
• Serve as the lead field representative for construction contract administration and project delivery.
• Manage inspection staff and coordinate with BART and the contractor.
• Oversee construction of three traction power substations, including site preparation, utilities, foundations, equipment, feeder cables, duct banks, and restoration.
• Direct testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.

Requirements

• Experience serving as a Resident Engineer on major rail or transit agency projects such as BART, Caltrain, VTA, or LA Metro.
• Experience with traction power substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience coordinating utilities and managing testing and commissioning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary construction management and inspection teams.
• California Professional Engineer license preferred.
