Project Engineer III - Value Engineering (VE)

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; 10% international travel required

What you will do

• Lead multiple low- to moderately complex Value Engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Conduct product teardowns, benchmarking, cost modeling, and opportunity identification.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies while tracking savings, risks, and timelines.
• Lead technical tradeoff discussions balancing cost, performance, durability, and schedule.
• Work with global suppliers to develop cost-effective design solutions and validate alternative materials, components, and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate qualification testing and collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, and Product Management on implementation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, including product development or Value Engineering project management.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with DFMA, cost modeling, root cause analysis, teardown benchmarking, and cost optimization.
• Experience working with global suppliers and overseas manufacturing environments; familiarity with CAD tools and simulation techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prepare test plans and specifications, and deliver results on aggressive schedules.
